In the past 8 years, LCJWC has donated over $190,000 to local philanthropies and has provided hundreds of hours of hands-on service projects.
Our History
Founded in 1969, La Cañada Junior Women's Club is a non-profit organization that supports women and children in need in the greater Los Angeles area. Our membership is comprised of dedicated, dynamic women interested in networking, sisterhood, friendship and philanthropy.
For more than 50 years, we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local organizations. We have also spent countless hours working on hands-on service projects.
For the 2022-2024 years, our chosen philanthropies the Club will support are:
Mending Kids ,PCY-PTA & PCE-PTA
MEMBERSHIP
· The General Membership meeting takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
· The Calendar year runs from September until May.
· The General membership meeting is on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (not including December).
· Our Social hour begins at 7p.m. with the meeting beginning at 7:30p.m.
· The Social hour is meant to help us network and get to know one another better.
· Light refreshments/soft drinks/wine are served.
· We welcome new members in the fall.
· Non-members may Join a meeting as a guest for up to two meetings.

SOCIALS
We are famous for our fun and creative social activities. Socials are meant to bond us as friends, relax, vent, enjoy one another.
Any potential new Junior is a Provisional Member.
As a Provisional, you are given 15 minute classes prior to each meeting to help answer questions and explain how to participate in service. You are given a Provisional Mentor that you can call if you have a question that needs answering.
We hold two Social Meet and Greets in September and invite women who are seeking sisterhood and fun. To be invited to one of our meet and greets, all you need to do is ask to be included on our invitation list. The dates for this years' event are Wed. September 1 at 10a.m. (Brunch), and Wed. September 8 at 7p.m. (Wine & Charcuterie).

Some of our signature Socials are the Holiday Scarf Party Exchange, Wine & Wigs and Margarita Madness. We also have amazing socials that one can purchase at our Annual Gala to make money for our chosen philanthropies.
